Cultivating Space for Learning

Add to calendar

We know so much more about how our brains interpret and retain information than ever before, yet we still rely on outdated notions of how learning works. Management clients lament that their enterprise training budgets are not robust enough to support the education opportunities they would like to offer to their teams, but they deter day-to-day learning by not allowing for the mental space to think, discuss, and experiment. Faye Thompson will discuss creating psychologically safe spaces where teams can question, experiment, and explore. You will leave with an understanding of how we learn, what learning looks like in the workplace, how to recognize organizational infrastructures that are impeding learning and experimentation, and how to design environments that support learning and continuous improvement.
