Crafting an Agile Transformation Approach for an Insurance Giant
State Farm Insurance was looking to develop and deliver an approach to train, coach, and enable teams to effectively leverage an agile methodology. The goal was for the more than six hundred employees to not only be trained, but also get real experience working with agile. Kimberly Mitchell helped develop an approach that included a team agile assessment, basic agile training, and an agile academy. Teams were able to experience real work situations through three or four very small sprints, with trained coaches to help facilitate the learning. Kim will highlight the details of this agile transformation, as well as discuss some of the challenges they encountered and approaches to overcoming them.
